Friendly Reminder: Service Website/Volunteer opportunities are listed in the links in the weekly emails and also on the forms page on website



  • Tutoring is available Monday - Friday from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the tutoring lab next to the accounting office on the fourth floor of Kirschman Hall.
  • Each session is 1 hour long, but you can sign up for consecutive sessions.
  • Only 1 member at a time can tutor on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Up to 2 members can tutor at the same time on Tuesdays and Thursdays. See the link below to sign up with the tutoring scheduler.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please click on the cancel/reschedule link provided in the confirmation email so that another member can take your spot. Please be considerate and avoid last minute cancellations.
  • You do not need to sign up to tutor, however, it is preferred that you do. **Members who signed up for a slot have precedence.** 
  • Remember to sign in your hours on the sign-in sheet in the lab. We base hours off of the sign-in sheet, not the tutoring scheduler.

Volunteers for Recruiting Season


When: January 16th-31st  between 9AM-6PM

What: Share the experiences you've had as member of Beta

Where: Kirschman Hall Lobby

  • This link allows you to schedule in 30 minute increments, so if you have time between classes; this is a great opportunity to earn service hours.

MLK Annual Day of Service Event

When: January 21st at 8 AM

What: A bus will drop off participants at their corresponding service locations. This is a great way to earn service hours while giving back to the community.

Volunteer for "Earn & Learn" Weekend at Knock Knock Museum 

When: Sat., Jan. 26 at  8:30 am to 12:30 pm  • 12:30 to 5:00 pm 

       Sun., Jan. 27 at 10:30 am to 2:00 pm • 2:00 to 5:30 pm

WhatWe need volunteers to facilitate activity stations throughout the museum's learning zones where kids earn stamps (money) for participating. Then they get to decide how to spend, save, or share what they've earned. It's a great hands-on learning event filled with fun, creative, and imaginative play, AND some important financial literacy concepts. Join at one of these shifts above.

Where: Knock Knock Museum 1900 Dalrymple Dr, Baton Rouge

  • Volunteers are admitted to the museum free of charge and will receive a free t-shirt. Volunteers may bring their children, but we ask that they be accompanied by another adult during their shift and pay any applicable admission fees on Sat., Jan. 26. (All guests are admitted free on Sun., Jan. 27.)

Classroom Visits
  • Classroom Visits are for Beta members to discuss to the class.
  • For classroom visits, you will discuss the requirements for joining the organization and pass around a sign-up sheet. Again, share some of your experiences. Tell them how Beta has helped you with networking skills, leadership, and any other benefits that you see fit. 
  • Please click the google drive link to access the list of classes. If interested, fill in your name and contact information on the same line as the class you want to sign-up for. We'll get in touch with you with a date to go there and give you the packet with the sign-up sheets and BAP requirements to be discussed.
